Comcast Business Plans Metro Fiber Expansion in Boston

Xtera’s trip through chapter 11 has ended in a deal and a new owner.  The private equity group H.I.G. Capital revealed today that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of the company, which specializes in the gear that makes submarine cables go. [Read more →]

Epsilon Sells Cataleya to Former CEO Andreas Hipp

Zayo Found Some Growth in Fiscal Q2, Expanded EBITDA

Zayo Plans Another Longhaul Route, This Time In the Pacific Northwest

With CenturyLink in the Wings, Level 3 Finishes Off 2016

With the CenturyLink/Level 3 deal still in process, there are still earnings reports to keep an eye on.  This afternoon, Level 3 posted its numbers for the fourth quarter of 2016, showing relatively stable results relative to the third quarter.  Relative to analyst estimates, Q4 revenue came in light at $2.032B while earnings per share of $0.70 was above expectations.
