Five data center infrastructure projects, four from North America and one from the Middle East.

STACK Infrastructure says it will be building another data center campus in northern Virginia. The plans call for 144MW of capacity spread across two 72MW, 2-story buildings in Loudon County. It will feature 100% renewable energy, an on-site substation, and closed-loop water cooling systems. STACK has some 4 gigawatts of capacity under development currently, including that 1GW project in Stafford County north of Fredericksburg.

Vantage Data Centers has lined up a new partner for power. They are teaming up with VoltaGrid, which specializes in advance microgrid power generation using a natural gas platform. VoltaGrid will deploy 1GW or more across Vantage’s portfolio in North America. The extra capacity will help Vantage address demand by reducing the bottleneck of the local grid.

DataVolt has signed an agreement with NEOM to build out data center infrastructure in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The agreement will see $5B of investment to fund the first phase of a 1.5GW campus in Oxagon. Oxagon sits on the Red Sea a bit southeast of the entrances to the gulfs of Aqaba and Suez.

RadiusDC has launched an upgrade of its facility out in Denver, but for once it’s not directly about space and power. They plan to improve the facade of the structure as part of the city’s revitalization project, improving the aesthetic appeal and livability of the urban area. RadiusDC’s facility is at 1500 Champa in Denver’s ‘interconnection alley’.

Applied Digital has lined up the financing it will need to build out their data center project in Ellendale, North Dakota. They have raised $375M from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking corporation. Some of that will go toward repaying a senior secured note from Macquarie Capital, while the rest will go toward the first two buildings in Ellendale. In December they turned up the on-site substation transformer for the facility.
