One financial move and three bits of data center ecosystem development:

euNetworks has closed on a €2.1 billion equity recapitalization. The recap was led by the company’s backers at Stonepeak and included direct investments from IMCO and APG. The deal follows a debt refinancing earlier this summer. euNetworks recently also saw a leadership change, as CEO Paula Cogan retired with Kevin Dean taking over as interim CEO.

Sabey Data Centers has picked up some R&E business in Texas. The Texas Advanced Computing Center at UT Austin will be leveraging colocation at SDC Austin for the Horizon supercomputer. It’s part the NSF-funded Leadership-Class Computing Facility project and will support both AI research as well as more general needs for massive processing power. SD Austin is located in Round Rock TX and at full buildout will have a capacity of 430,000 square feet and 85MW of power.

BDx Indonesia and Telkom Indonesia’s NeutraDC have launched the first phase of an IX ecosystem in Indonesia. It’s a tangible follow up to the MoU signed in January at PTC, starting with BDx’s CGK3 and 3A campus in Jakarta as well as NeutraDC’s Cikarang facility. Each will operate their own IX, interconnected with the other’s ecosystem. From those aggregation points, the collaboration envisions an ecosystem spanning some 108 colo and edge sites around the country.

And HGC has expanded its DCI footprint into Thailand. They launched the capabilities across an initial 7 data centers in Bangkok, enabling enterprises to minimize the number of nodes between destinations. HGC is looking to replicate its success in Hong Kong in other regional markets.
