STACK Infrastructure has unveiled new plans for a major colocation campus in the Frankfurt metro area. The data center builder and operator is preparing to develop a 17-acre property 20km west of downtown Frankfurt am Main into its first data center in this key European data marketplace.
The FRAIL1 campus will be built upon a former Coca-Cola bottling and distribution plant site in the municipality of Liederbach. As currently envisioned, it will feature 80MW of capacity across four facilities. That capacity will go toward meeting customer demand for space and power in the crowded market.
With a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability it will incorporate green tech such as rainwater harvesting and the redirection of excess heat to a proposed local residential development. Given the macro situation when it comes to power in Germany, that is certainly going to be an ongoing ballet dance.
STACK is moving quickly in Europe, having first entered the space a year ago but now spanning eight locations.
