Two new data centers in the southwestern US, and two expansions in eastern Europe.
Novva Data Centers says it has been building out a major new facility in the Las Vegas metro area. The plans call for a 275,000 square foot, 100MW data center on a 20-acre campusin North Las Vegas. This will be Novva’s third market, as they operate locations in Colorado Springs CO and West Jordan UT. The facility is expected to be ready in late 2023 and will feature water-free cooling technology and even ‘atmospheric water generation’ for the necessary landscaping.
Aligned Data Centers has new expansion plans in Texas. They will be adding a second facility at their 19-acre campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, adding 220,000 square feet of space and 36MW of power. Aligned has more than 400MW of capacity in new development ongoing.
Arelion has added a new point of presence to its footprint over in southeastern Europe. The global backbone operator has expanded in the Serbian capital of Belgrade with a second PoP, which is now available at CETIN’s carrier-neutral data center. Arelion is responding to growing demand from the technology sector in the Balkans.
And DE-CIX has found some new ground for its ongoing global expansion in central and southeastern Europe. The IX specialist has revealed partnerships with four of the region’s internet exchanges: BIX.BG in Sofia, NIX.CZ in Prague, Atman in Warsaw, and InterLAN-IX in Bucharest. The arrangements extend DE-CIX’s ecosystem into new markets while enabling the individual IX’s themselves to offer a wider array of interconnection services.
