A new data center, a new customer, a vendor win, and some surprising new direct connectivity to keep up with this week.
Vantage Data Centers is adding another facility over in Europe. They have announced plans to build out the second of three data centers at their campus in Offenbach, Germany, near Frankfurt. When complete in the first half of 2024 the facility will offer 16MW and 140,000 square feet of space. Mondelez International, the snack food giant that owns Oreo, Ritz, Cadbury, and Chips Ahoy, is moving its infrastructure onto a unified digital platform managed by Orange. Mondelez operates locations across 80 countries staffed by 80,000 employees. The upgrades will eliminate legacy PBXs, employ advanced technology in the company’s call centers, and support the company’s administrative needs.
Colt Technology Services has settled on Infovista’s KLERITY to help it with VoIP service assurance. Colt will deploy the solution to gain end-to-end visibility on voice services across 7 of its hubs in Asia and Europe. Colt has been aggressively leveraging SDN and NFV across its footprint over the last few years, and this move further adds to its ability to optimize quality of experience over its VoIP platform.
And in an agreement that not so long ago might have been completely unthinkable in a political sense, Arc Solutions and Bezeq are teaming up for some connectivity across borders in the Middle East.
