A new company launch, a product launch, a global channel partner, and some FTTx:

A familiar face has resurfaced in a new context. Brett Diamond, the former CEO at HFN, and Tiger Infrastructure Partners have partnered up again to launch 11:11 Systems, a managed infrastructure solutions provider. 11:11 will take aim at the ‘digital business transformation’ opportunity. The company says it has an ambitious M&A strategy in mind, and I’m guessing we won’t have to wait too long.

STL has launched its new Accellus offering. The network integrator is taking aim at 5G-ready, open, and programmable networks based on a combination of optical fiber and radio infrastructure. The solution includes Open RAN radios, indoor small cells, WiFi 6, software-defined FTTx, and the necessary underlying software fabric to tie it all together.

DZS has picked up some business in southeast Asia. Thailand-based Optimus, a distributor of network connectivity technology to hotels, manufacturers, campuses, and office/residential buildings, has joined their channel partner program, enabling them to offer DZS’s various solutions to markets across Thailand.

And Frontier has teamed up with Nokia to connect 100,000 homes. Frontier is leveraging Nokia’s Quillion-powered XGS-PON technology to grow its FTTH footprint. The provider says its expansion will reach 600K new locations by the end of the year, with 10M targeted by the end of 2025.
