Bluebird Network has added some new longhaul capacity to its network out in Missouri. The Midwestern communications infrastructure provider has lit up a new 300-mile circuit between St. Louis and Kansas City.
The route gives them a 400Gbps capability between the two key markets, but also adds connectivity to the cities of Warrensburg, Sedalia, and Columbia along the way. The buildout also enables expansion into additional new markets.
Bluebird has been steadily investing in its regional depth, and has lately expanded its on-net and near-net reach by 9,000 buildings. With the help of the money guys at Macquarie, the company has the resources to continue down this path and perhaps expand outwards into adjacent geographical regions.
