A data center is changing hands in the upper Midwest. Cologix announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase vXchnge’s facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
vXchange’s MN-01 facility offers 16,000 square feet of colo space within the carrier hotel a5 511 11th Ave South, also known as the 511 Building. It has been one of vXchange’s smallest locations, with only their facility in North Carolina checking in with fewer square feet.
Of course, Cologix is no stranger to either Minneapolis or 511 11th Ave South. One of their earlier M&A moves was to acquire the Minneapolis Gateway, way back in 2012. Today they operate three locations within the carrier hotel, and this deal will give them a fourth with more than 60K square feet of total space across the set.
