Some fiber has changed hands over in France. Altitude Infrastructure today officially announced the acquisition of Kosc Telecom. Kosc is a wholesale-only Connectivity-as-a-Service provider with reach throughout the country. Altitude is also focused on the wholesale FTTP space, with 3 million FTTH connections.
Kosc Telecom had been in receivership this past winter, a process that was slowed by the pandemic. Altitude swooped in with a EUR14M offer that will keep everything going for Kosc’s 65K corporate customers. They also plan an investment of EUR100M into Kosc’s B2B infrastructure over the next 5 years. Altitude will also take on the company’s 62 employees.
The deal has been in the works all summer, having been validated on June 29. Hopefully the conclusion of the acquisition will clear things up entirely.
