EdgeConneX has added another market to its European footprint, and contrary to their usual methods they have done it inorganically. The edge data center builder and operator has acquired the Linxdatacenter facility in Warsaw, Poland.
The facility is a longstanding carrier neutral facility in downtown Warsaw. According to Linx’s website, it features 1,400 square meters of space and 2.5Mw of power. Additionally, it comes with fiber connectivity to the key LIM colo facility and ecosystem nearby, which sits at the heart of Poland’s network infrastructure.
Linxdatacenter is divesting the facility to focus more on its cloud business and Russian assets. EdgeConneX meanwhile reiterated its opportunistic, customer driven approach to expanding in Europe. They started in Amsterdam and have added Dublin as well, with plans in the works for London and locations in Austria, Italy, and France on the drawing board as well.
