A few product and market expansions worth noting to start the week:
Unite Private Networks is expanding its presence further in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They moved into the market in force a couple months ago when they bought the former Level 3 metro assets that CenturyLink divested in the city and have been working on an E-Rate buildout for the Albuquerque Public Schools. Last Thursday they opened their new office there, and will be adding at least 20 jobs alongside the one hundred or so construction jobs for their fiber projects.
Digital Realty continues to add more cloud connectivity options to its ecosystem. Today the company expanded its dedicated, private access to the IBM cloud into 15 major markets globally, spanning some 70 facilities. Those markets include all the usual suspects of course: Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and London in Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Melbourne, and Sydney in APAC, and Ashburn, AGlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, Portland, New York, Santa Clara, Seattle, and Toronto in North America.
Connected2Fiber hs continued to add new capabilities to the company’s cloud platform this month. Today they released an Enterprise Profiler module, helping to better identify potential enterprise customer prospects near a fiber network. And last week they launched a Market Explorer module enabling service providers to dynamically define search parameters based on local market conditions.
And Windstream launched a new product aimed at enterprise cloud migration. Leveraging technology from VeloCloud, Windstream launched SD-WAN Cloud Connect, which combines the company’s SD-WAN Concierge and Cloud Connect products to enable enterprises to better hook up to cloud resources like Amazon AWS (July) and Microsoft Azure (August).
