Here’s a set of quick-takes from the data center and enterprise services markets:
EarthLink took another step along the technology road toward the managed network services provider they’d like to be. They have launched SD-WAN, a technology that enterprises and businesses are increasingly looking to as the backbone for their nextgen infrastructure. VeloCloud is providing the underlying platform, which has seemed to be gaining service provider adherents at a steady clip all this summer.
Internap is taking its cloud portfolio to a new level. They took the wraps off of CloudOption, aimed at helping their customers directly access third party clouds, such as Amazon AWS, and Micrsoft Azure. Internap also announced it has achieved Open-IX OIX-2 data center cetification, emphasizing their interconnection capabilities and options.
vXchange has picked up a new client in its New York City factility. ProTraf Solutions has moved in, establishing a northeastern presence and bringing its DDoS mitigation services to the ecosystem there. vXchnge has been sticking to organic growth projects lately, but I wonder if they aren’t due for an inorganic move as well.
And Unite Private Networks continues to rack up enterprise wins out in the Midwest. Yesterday they revealed the employee benefits and insurance brokerage firm Bukaty Companies as a new customer. UPN will be providing both high speed internet and Ethernet private line services connecting Bukaty’s headquarters and financial services offices. UPN is getting a new primary owner, with cable operator Cox making a strategic investment. яндекс
