No US metro market has seen as many low latency elbows as New Jersey since the financial community started paying by the microseconds. Today one of the more comprehensive fiber builds to re-imagine the routes between key locations went online, as Hudson Fiber Network took its four new routes to Mahwah live:
- Mahwah to 755 Secaucus Road, Secaucus/NY4 at 42.4 kms or 424.9us RTD
- Mahwah to 165 Halsey Street, Newark at 47.1 kms or 471.4us RTD
- Mahwah to 1400 Federal Boulevard, Carteret at 69.9 kms or 699.8us RTD
- Mahwah to 300 Boulevard East, Weehawken at 47.8 kms or 478.8us RTD
The fiber itself from Mahway to each of those major carrier hotel addresses was built by Cross River Fiber, while HFN has been handling the lit platform. Mahwah became a key destination when the NYSE put its giant data center there, and HFN says it has already pre-sold 35% of the available capacity.
With this project complete, I wonder where HFN and Cross River will point their construction crews next.
