Two more job postings have popped up on the Telecom Ramblings Jobs Board, this time from sidera. With layoffs hitting the news much too often of late accompanied by more ugly macro economic news, it’s refreshing to see much of the competitive fiber sector still hiring.
Firstly, Sidera is seeking a Fiber Resource Engineer, responsible for creating and updating splicing diagrams, performing utilization studies and analyzing business practices and results including process documents for use by employees or contractors performing fiber optic splicing, equipment installation and maintenance. And secondly, Sidera is looking for a Data Operations Engineer, responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the gear that runs both production and corporate networks.
This summer continues to seem not so bad for jobs in telecom and internet infrastructure, at least if postings to Ramblings’ Jobs Board is any indications. Other job listings still on the books right now include one each from Level 3, OCG, AboveNet, and FPL FiberNet.
