We have another job posting on the Telecom Ramblings Jobs Board, this time from Level 3 Communications (NYSE:LVLT, news, filings). Level 3 is seeking an Account Director, or I should say Account Directors, in New York, Boston, and Washington DC. All indications are that the company is poised for a period of sustained organic growth, and to pull that off they will certainly be needing more account directors.
This summer continues to seem not so bad for jobs in telecom and internet infrastructure. Other job listings still on the books right now include one each from OCG, AboveNet, and FPL FiberNet.

Would you please give us a hint as to the duties of an “account director” ??
Would not LVLT have had such employees in these cities previously ??
Account directors are the people who talk to the customers – either to sell them services or as point of contact for existing services. Obviously Level 3 has many already, but are hiring more.
