Huawei has launched what it bills as the industry’s first AI Core Network. The Chinese vendor says its platform will be an autonomous generative network capable of self-optimization and self-O&M. The idea is to be able to interlink AI agents themselves across an intelligent network core. Huawei also introduced a Telco Intelligent Converged Cloud to help manage the hardware powering AI.

Ericsson’s Aduna venture has brought in a new equity partner. e& will bring its depth in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe to Aduna’s rapidly expanding global platform. Aduna aims to build an ecosystem of network APIs that touches service providers, system integrators, and independent software ventures based on the CAMARA APIs.

And Nokia has made a series of announcements as well. First of all, they have completed their acquisition of Infinera, which dramatically shifts the optical transport technology landscape. They continue to target EUR200M of net operating synergies by 2027 and hope to turn the combined company further toward the challenges of AI. They also announced a partnership with Carrix to introduce a private wireless solution to enhance operations at four key marine terminals around the US. And they will also be working with Malaysia-based Maxis to upgrade the latter’s data center infrastructure, deploying 7220 IXR switches and related technology.
