Four regional infrastructure deals from around the US to catch up with. eX² Technology has picked up a wireless infrastructure deal in the southwest. Yuma County has selected the company to build out 27 towers across the region. The towers will support water conservation efforts, bringing the necessary bandwidth to farms in all six of Yuma County’s irrigation districts, covering some 190K acres of cropland.
BroadbandOne is expanding its fixed wireless footprint into the coastal city of Savannnah, Georgia. They have launched multi-gig, low latency enterprise services as a mmWave alternative and complement to fiber in the city. The wireless service provider also has eyes on Athens and Augusta as well as Columbia over in South Carolina. They also recently expanded into Salinas, California via a stratgic partnership with Etheric Networks.
Ritter Communications’ RightFiber has completed the acquisition of the City of Ruston’s fiber broadband network. The deal adds the northern Louisiana city’s network infrastructure to Ritter’s regional footprint. RightFiber will be expanding its services to both residential and business customers throughout the region.
ark data centers is expanding the Idaho Internet Exchange. IdahoIX was launched in 2023 in the company’s carrier neutral data center in Boise. They are offering 1GbE and 10GbE port options, looking to keep more traffic local, reduce latency, and expand the ecosystem in the Pacific Northwest.
