Telefonica may be looking to sell its Argentina operations. The Spanish telecommunications giant has apparently brought in JPMorgan to assess the possibility of offloading the division. While there is no specific deal on the table, reports put forth Millicom and Illiad as well as Argentinian investors as potential buyers.
Implementation of Tellus, the interconnection infrastructure project of Gaia-X, is now complete. The project is being led by DE-CIX to provide automated network access for real-time applications across distributed cloud environments, integrating capabilities from various providers with open source software. They now have a proof-of-concept demo in place as well. Other consortium members include Plusserver, Spacenet, Wobcom, KAEMI, Cloud&Heat, Mimetik, IONOS, and Trumpf.
Nokia has picked up an international customer for its packet core and voice products. 1Global is swapping out its current infrastructure to use Nokia Evolved Packet Core (EPC), Nokia IMS Voice Core, and Nokia NetGuard security solutions. 1Global is looking to upgrade infrastructure in existing markets while rolling out service in new areas such as Brazil.
And BCN has lined up a strategic partnership with Adaptiv Networks to expand its SD-WAN portfolio. The New Jersey-based manage service provider will be integrating Adaptiv’s SD-WAN into its portfolio to better address the needs of the enterprise market. SD-WAN has become an essential part of the managed services biz for sure.
