Three data center projects and one FTTH award:
DC BLOX’s expansion plans have, well, expanded. In addition to their buildout in Conyers GA, the company will be building facilities in Montgomery AL, North Augusta SC, and Huntsville AL. At full buildout that will add 160MW of capacity for tenants, with each of the three new sites starting out with 5MW.
Prime Data Centers has officially opened its new LAX01-01 hyperscale facility in southern California. The new location in Vernon, just four miles south of downtown Los Angeles, will feature 242,495 square feet of space and 33MW of critical IT power at full buildout. It is already fully leased to two AI companies.
Sabey Data Centers is getting ready for AI demand with a new strategic partnership. They are teaming up with SEGUENTE, which specializes in IT hardware for direct-to-chip liquid cooling. Their technology doesn’t use water or pumps, but a dielectric fluid and a passive system.
And Archtop Fiber’s plans in Sullivan County NY have gotten some financial backing. As part of the ConnectALL grant, Sullivan County has been awarded some $29.9M, which will go toward infrastructure in the county. Archtop is partnering with the county to jointly develop a plant to bring multi-gig connectivity to some 22K homes and businesses.
