News from three data center projects plus a new PoP:

Start Campus has lined up some more of the power infrastructure for its buildout in Portugal. They have partnered with Siemens energy for transformers for SIN02-06. SIN02 is expected to be ready in 2026 with access to some 180MW. It’s a €20m investment with a long lead time into critical power equipment. Siemens also provided gear for SIN01.

Novva Data Centers says it will be building a new data center campus out in Arizona. They plan to invest as much as $3B over the next decade in the site, which will be located on 160 acres of land in Mesa to the east of Phoenix. It’s the company’s 6th location, complementing their presence in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and California. At full buildout, it will support 300MW of capacity.

Edged Energy has officially opened its first data center in North America. It’s located in Atlanta at 1800 Thomas Street NW, which was once CSX’s Tilford Yard terminal. The first building is online with 27MW of capacity, with another two planned on the 168MW campus. They’ll be targeting high density workloads for AI and such of course.

And Hurricane Electric has expanded its reach deeper into eastern France. The global IPv6 IP backbone operator has added a new PoP in the Lyon metro area, or more specifically within SFR Netcenter at 6/8 Rue Georges Marrane, 69200 Vénissieux. It’s HE”s 7th PoP in France overall and its first in Lyon, the second largest city in the country.
