A couple of international enterprise wins, a venue upgrade, and yet another giant hyperscale data center campus to keep up with:
GTT has won the favor of an international retailer. Kiabi, which focuses on ‘inclusive family fashion’, will use GTT’s network and services to support its 430 stores, warehouses, and logistic centers. That includes locations in France, Italy, Belgium, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, and India as well as a pair of data centers, with additional store openings expected in both Europe and Asia-Pacific.
EdgeConneX and TA Realty are teaming up to develop a giant new campus in the Atlanta metro area. The new hyperscale campus will support 324MW of capacity, targeting demand from across the southeastern US. It will be a little while before we see that new capacity though, as construction will commence in 2026, and details on where and what will be built will come later.
Extenet says it recently increased capacity at the Fiserv Forum, which is where the Milwaukee Bucks play. Of course it is also the site of the 2024 Republican National Convention, which is now in progress. Extenet is leveraging MatSing lens antennas as well as high-capacity C-Band to boost capacity and scalability. Those upgrades will also power future events at the venue of course.
Summit Homes has tapped Macquarie Telecom for the mobile and fixed infrastructure it needs. The Australian residential builder is looking to keep its focus on, well, building residences, and is leveraging Macquarie Telecom’s infrastructure for both 4G/5G and a multi-carrier access WAN. The agreement is a renewal of a 20-year existing relationship.
