Four projects of metro connectivity interest of note from this week:

Comcast Business picked up a bit of nonprofit business out in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon’s Family Justice Center of Washington County will be using their Ethernet Dedicated Internet and Voice Mobility Solution to power their digital operations. FJCWC is dedicated to fighting domestic violence, and will use the upgraded bandwidth and capabilities to better route calls and support reliable virtual legal assistance of various types.

Ziply Fiber has announced expansion projects across the state of Montana. The company is targeting 29,000 homes in Billings and Great Falls, with the cities of Missoula, Helena, and Butte to be targeted in the near future. Ziply is offering bandwidth from as low as 100Mbps to a high of 50Gbps across its footprint, which in Montana started in the towns of Libby and Troy.

Breezeline says it will continue its low income option despite the expiration of federal funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program. The service brings 50Mbps connections to qualifying customers for $9.99/month including modem rental. The FCC launched the ACP in December of 2021, but its last fully-funded month was April.

And HPE Aruba Networking has picked up some business in the sports vertical over in the UK. The Everton Football Club has signed a multi-year agreement with the vendor, which becomes an official supplier to Everton Stadium. The upgrades will power the fan experience for the 2025-2026 season. Everton Football Club is based in Liverpool and is one of the 12 founder members of the Football League.
