Wednesday Bytes: STACK, Greenlight, Summit, Arelion

In interesting news at midweek, a new campus, an SMB offer, a capacity upgrade, and a new PoP:

STACK Infrastructure has revealed some significant plans in Texas. They will be developing a 220MW campus south of Dallas on 100 acres in the city of Lancaster. The plans call for an eventual six 36MW facilities totaling 1.5M square feet starting in mid 2026. They have also lined up committed power from ONCOR via an on-site substation. The new facilities are expected to go toward meeting demand from AI and other new technologies.

Greenlight Networks is stepping further from its residential focus to address the needs of small and medium businesses. They have added a new offering tuned toward business customers with 20 employees and fewer. The offer starts at $150/month for 500Mb and goes up to 8G, and includes a range of business-friendly capabilities like managed WiFi, segmented network traffic, and concierge support.

Summit Broadband has tapped Ciena for an upgrade down in central and southwestern Florida. Summit will be leveraging Ciena’s WL5e technology to deliver 400Gbps connectivity to enterprises. The deal is an expansion on an existing relationship between Ciena and Summit, which operates some 4,300 fiber-route miles in the region.

Arelion has also been busy in southwest Florida along what some call the ‘Silicon Coast’. They have deployed a new PoP at Flexential’s Tampa – North data center, adding to their edge depth in the region. Arelion has also invested lately in additional capacity at the landing stations Jacksonville and Boca Raton.
