CoreSite says that Aqua Comms’ AEC-3 is now live at its BO1 facility up in the Boston metro area. AEC-3 is Aqua Comms’ piece of the new Amitié cable, a 16-fibre-pair system which connects Massachussets directly with Europe. It has a design capacity of some 400Tbps and lands in Lynn to the northeast of Boston proper.
HGC has tapped CMC Telecom in order to deepen its reach into Vietnam. The two companies announced a strategic partnership under which EdgeX by HGC has been deployed at CNC’s data center in Ho Chi Minh City. From there HGC’s edge computing solution will be able to more easily connect bandwidth-intensive enterprises in the Southeast Asian country to other global networks and cloud infrastructure.
LightRiver is taking its netFLEX automation platform to the next level. They have released netFLEX-as-a-service, targeting enterprise and data center customers with a need to better manage their own transport networks. The technology leverages SD-WAN to talk to network elements within the customer’s network and deliver a unified view of network inventory and maintenance needs..
And Ribbon has won a regional upgrade deal out in the Midwest. Harrisonville Telephone Company will be using Ribbon’s IP WAVE solutions and supporting technologies to upgrade its infrastructure in response to the demands of traffic growth. HTC serves three Illinois counties to the southeast of St. Louis. It’s an expansion of an existing relationship between the two.
