Three completed expansion projects and one just getting started:
Cologix has completed a project down in northern Virginia. Their new Scalelogix data center in Ashburn adds some 455,000 square feet of space to the cmopany’s footprint. It’s a three-story location fed by some 120MW of power that has already been pre-leased to an unnamed major global technology company. Cologix also has buildouts underway in Columbus OH and Montreal.
DE-CIX has opened the doors on a couple new internet exchangs in a new market region. They have expanded into Denmark with IXs in both Esbjerg and Copenhagen, with an initial presence in Bulk Data Centers’ DK01 and three Digital Realty facilities and plans for additional nodes. The rollout leverages their Apollon platform, which has powered their expansion into many a market in recent years.
Sabey Data Centers has finished up a buildout in the Pacific Northwest. The company has completed an expansion of its campus in Quincy, a couple hours east of Seattle. The new phase adds two buildings and 85MW of power, giving them a total of 525,000 square feet across five buildings there.
And IQ Fiber says it is accelerating its rollout in Jacksonville FL. They are investing $18M to expand into North Jacksonville, East Arlington, Girvine, and San Pablo. Construction will start this summer, powered by a recent capital commitment from their founding investor SDC Capital Partners. IQ Fiber has projects in Duval, Nassau, Clay, and St. Johns counties in Florida and recently announced an entry into Gainesville and Alachua County.
