Three bits of M&A in three different geographies, two in the FTTH space and one data center:
Archtop Fiber has made another deal in upstate New York They have signed a stock purchase agreement to acquire Hancock Telephone Company, which is based in Hancock NY. That’s over on the other side of the Catskills mountains on the border with northeastern Pennsylvania. It follows Archtop’s other recent deal for GTel in the Hudson River Valley, adding more scale in the region and gives them a foothold across the border in Pennsylvania as well.
atNorth has made an inorganic move into Finland. The Nordic colo, compute, and AI service provider is acquiring two data centers in Finland from Advania, and will take on some of the associated workforce as well. atNorth has plans for a third data center in Finland as a followup, further expanding beyond their current footprint in Iceland and Sweden.
Wyyerd Fiber has announced some new municipal fiber agreements out in Arizona. The arrangements will see Wyyerd expand its footprint by 100%, reaching across some 15 municipalities in greater Phoenix. Wyyerd is a new name to me, but its CEO is John Scarano, who helped co-found Zayo back in the day.
