STACK Infrastructure has purchased the necessary land for a major new data center campus out in the southwestern US in order to continue meeting hyperscale demand. Yesterday the digital infrastructure provider announced its intention to invest in a 50-acre campus in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
At full buildout, the new campus will support five data center buildings totaling more than 1.7M square feet of space. That space will be supported by 230MW of power and will feature a dedicated onsite substation. As elsewhere, STACK envisions that power being 100% renewable.
STACK already has an 80-acre, 150MW site in the Phoenix metro area of course. STACK is certainly keeping its crews busy, as it is at various stages of similar expansion projects going on in northern Virginia and in the Pacific northwest, as well as overseas in Germany, South Korea, and Australia.
