Evocative has closed a significant deal for a bundle of assets from INAP. The deal significantly expands Evocative’s data center footprint while adding a few network assets as well as talent.
Included in the deal are nine INAP facilities in New Jersey, Dallas, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Seattle, Boston, and Atlanta. The last three of those are entirely new to Evocative, while the others enable expansion within existing markets. Evocative now claims 20 locations across the US with a total of 1,080,000 square feet of data center space and 108MW of power with room for expansion. The deal also boosts the company’s headcount by 30%, as it brings talent over from INAP.
INAP has been selling itself off in pieces this year. Unitas Global acquired most of the company’s network business assets back in May. This latest deal takes over nearly all of its North American colo footprint, but they may have some remaining assets in Europe and in the managed/cloud services space — assuming there isn’t another transaction out there that I missed.
