Three interesting items so far this week, a small M&A, a partnership, and an upgrade:
There has been a bit of data center M&A down in northern Florida. StratCap Data Centers has completed the acquisition of a triple-net-leased facility in Jacksonville. It’s a 25,600 square foot facility that includes a cell tower an an existing lease to a telecommunications compay through 2038. StratCap says it has now acquired $151M of infrastructure assets since the beginning of the year.
LightRiver has a new partnership down under. Independent Data Solutions has signed on to leverage LightRiver’s netFLEX automation platform to take to market down in Australia and New Zealand. The deal will enable IDS to differentiate itself in the region, and give LightRiver a new foothold as well.
And DataBank has completed an expansion in Atlanta. The upgrade to ATL3 brings its total raised floor space to 72,000 square feet and quadruples the available power from 1.5MW to 6MW. ATL3 is in Atlanta’s Historic West End district, and as its name indicates is one of three facilities DataBank operates in the city.
