Four items from the data center front to catch up with at midweek so far:
fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty has been busy up in Orangeburg, NY. They have brought another 16,800 square feet of white space and 2MW of power online up in Rockland County. 1547 has also secured a sales tax abatement for customers coming into the market, which lies just 22 miles and 1ms from Manhattan.
Cologix has some new fiber in its interconnection ecosystem up in Toronto. Crosslake Fibre has contracted for space and power in their TOR1 location at 151 Front Street. Crosslake fibre’s infrastructure cuts the corner on the route to New York by crossing Lake Ontario, and by teaming up with Cologix they’ll be able to reach more service providers in need of that low latency route.
Element Critical has polished off an expansion down in Houston, Texas. After purchasing the Houston One facility a year ago, they have added another 20,000 square feet of new colo space while upgrading the company’s power feeds and connectivity as well.
And Flexential is taking aim at new markets on distant shores. They have announced a partnership with Angola Cables under which they will leverage the MONET and SACS cable systems. The arrangement will let Flexential serve customers in western and southern African markets access colo and connectivity via the company’s Fort Lauderdale data center.
