A new data center project, a private 5G network for a mine, and a backoffice upgrade:
UPSTACK is teaming up with Wyoming Hyperscale White Box LLC for a new data center launch out in Wyoming. Wyoming Hyperscale’s facility will be located on 58 acres on the north ridgeline of Aspen Mountain, 11 miles southeast of the town of Evanston, where it expects to be able to take advantage of nearby energy resources. The facility will begin commissioning in Q4 of this year, after which UPSTACK will have early access to secure space.
Nokia has deployed a private wireless network for Antofagasta Minerals down in Chile. The 4.9G/LTE network was deployed at Minera Centinela in Chile over a period of 4 months in support of the copper mine’s operations. The mine is one of four Antofagasta’s copper locations ni Chile, and sits 1,350km north of the Chilean capital of Santiago.
And EXA Infrastructure is beefing up its underlying back-office technology. As EXA continues to revamp its market approach after the company’s transition from its role as GTT’s infrastructure business to an independent operator last year, the company has completed the implementation of Aria’s cloud billing and monetization technology. EXA hopes to leverage Aria’s technology for new subscription and usage-based offerings going forward as well.
