According to an announcement yesterday, OneWeb has a new launch partner lined up. They have entered into an agreement with none other than Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
The LEO satellite provider OneWeb has had a bit of a chaotic month. The conflict in Ukraine and the resulting global sanctions led Russia’s space agency to cancel their launches from Kazakhstan earlier this month.
OneWeb has 428 satellites in orbit so far, which is about two-thirds of the planned constellation they hope to have in place by later this year. They recently activated service in the northern hemisphere at the 50th parallel and above.
