Yesterday there was another bit of consolidation in the IaaS space, as 11:11 continues to deliver on its promise of inorganic expansion. The managed infrastructure solutions provider has now signed a definitive agreement to acquire iland.
iland offers Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service and Backup-as-a-Service via its cloud services platform. 11:11 will integrate those offerings into its expanding portfolio alongside Green Cloud Defense, which it closed its deal for just two weeks ago.
11:11 was just launched back in September with industry veteran Brett Diamond as CEO and Tiger Infrastructure Partners supplying the financial wherewithal, a reprise of the team that sold Hudson Fiber Network to ExteNet three years ago. They expect to close on the purchase of iland as soon as later this month, enabling them to start 2022 as a combined managed IaaS provider.
Whether 11:11 will pause and integrate for a while, or continue to roll up more assets will be something to watch.
