Conterra Networks has consolidated a bit more infrastructure down along the Gulf Coast. Following their deals earlier this year of Network USA and Detel, Conterra has announced an agreement to acquire Longview-based Network Communications.
According to its website, Network Communications operates several hundred miles of fiberoptic network in the East Texas communities of Longview, Marshall, Kilgore, and Henderson and across the border in the Northwest Louisiana cities of Shreveport and Bossier City. They use that infrastructure to serve several thousand businesses in the region.
That infrastructure will further flesh out Conterra’s regional footprint in the area and will boost the company’s network footprint beyond 10,000 route miles across 22 states. The company is majority owned by Court Square Capital. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal is expected to close by the end of August.
