The telecom software vendor CENX announced new leadership today. Ed Kennedy will be the company’s new President and CEO. He’ll lead the next phase of CENX’s growth, in which they take the company’s maturing network operations and LSO platform to a wider audience.
As carriers around the world add SDN and NFV to their infrastructure, the software holding it all together has become more and more important. While it began life as an Ethernet Exchange, CENX got an early start in building software capable of doing just that. They have found traction with carriers of all sizes, including a Tier 1 win over at Verizon. Kennedy will be looking to leveraging partners around the world to expand the customer base globally and turn that success into revenues.
Prior to taking over at CENX Kennedy was CEO over at Tollgrade Communications, a network assurance solution provider that was acquired this past spring by Enghouse. He’s also served in executive roles at Alcatel and Tellabs.
