Unite Private Networks has added more fiber to its footprint in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. The new build-out stretches further northeast from the Texas city, extending the company’s recent expansion into Plano to add metro reach in Allen, Texas.
UPN will be able to offer redundant paths back into Dallas with new infrastructure along routes 121 and 75. It’s not on their interactive map just yet, but to the left is a quick look at the new Allen footprint.
UPN now has almost 800 route miles of fiber in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area now, having started building a footprint there four years ago. Last year Cox bought a majority share in UPN, bringing it into the cable MSO world but so far not affecting its trajectory too much.
