Zayo Adds Some Chicago Colo

October 7th, 2016 by · Leave a Comment

Zayo is expanding its colocation footprint in Chicago.  They are planning to open their fourth location in the Windy City in response to strong customer demand.

The new location will span some 23,000 square feet and 2MW of power at 840 South Canal Street.  When in place, it will give them some 268,000 total square feet and 31MW of power in the Chicago metro area in all.  They have space at 600 South Federal, less than a mile away and across the Chicago River, as well as 20 miles to the west in Oak Brook and to the northwest in Mount Prospect.

For this particular expansion, they have a global software analytics company as the anchor tenant.  The new location is of course already on-net when it comes to Zayo’s metro fiber footprint.
