Across the Atlantic, the pan-European operator euNetworks has been busy this week with the media vertical. Yesterday they unveiled an expansion of their Media Connect solution up to Manchester’s MediaCityUK.
MediaCityUK is a redeveloped waterfront area that hopes to establish itself as an international hub for digital media, as well as a range of upscale restaurants and such of course. euNetworks has added a direct fiber connection into dock10’s facility within MediaCityUK, bringing longhaul DWDM connectivity back to both a range of key sites in London and also over to Hilversum in the Netherlands.
euNetworks launched its Media Connect business last September, hoping to gain a bigger piece of the media vertical pie. This year they’ve been busy expanding geographically, adding fiber routes south to Marseille and north into Scandinavia to their portfolio.
