Amsterdam’s AMS-IX is extending its exchange tentacles further into Equinix’s infrastructure in the Dutch capital. The giant European internet exchange spans the metro area with some big pipes, with connectivity across Europe as well.
AMS-IX will be adding a PoP in Equinix’s AM3, the new 17,800 square meter facility at the Amsterdam Science Park that will open in this coming month. They’ll also be deploying a new core node within the AM1/AM2 campus, helping to lessen the load at other core sites.
