Sidera Networks has been pushing data center connectivity hard lately in a bid to better serve the cloud revolution. Today they teamed up with Digital Realty Trust to deliver a dedicated high capacity, low latency ring.
The idea is to provide cloud operators with connectivity between Digital Realty’s facilities in Chicago, Pisacataway, New York City, and Asburn that is specifically tuned to their needs. Tailoring big bandwidth offers to the needs of cloud-cloud connectivity is a growing trend.
Sidera has also been working closely with another datacenter REIT, DuPont Fabros, in both DC and New Jersey, and recently announced a new alternative route out of Ashburn for New-York-bound traffic in conjunction with connectivity at RagingWire’s facility.
