There was some lively discussion following my, err, somewhat lively response to that WSJ article earlier this week.  My own opinion is no secret, but let’s put it to a vote just to see where we stand as a group:

    And I would add it certainly depends on which Fiber Providers you are referring to in your Poll — that could be a dramatically different answer. For example, my response for the WSJ group of “Fiber Providers” is much less positive than if you include Dan Caruso’s list of providers not included in the article.

      Back in the bubble, the whole industry went off the tracks. One can always find some business plans one disagrees with, but I’m trying to get at a more general state of affairs.

    There is a real reason to build now. OCG is up to 500 miles now and is agressivly building in the metro. Demand is demand and there is plenty of it out there. We are seeing extensive demand expecially since Abovenet was purchased. Thank’s Dan
