As promised, here is the next update to my collections of links to competitive metro fiber maps. First we have the major internet hub of Chicago, which has many providers but is not overflowing with publicly available maps. And second, we have the entire state of Florida – which has many large cities but often with the same companies showing up in many of them which makes it convenient to group them together.
After the Thanksgiving holiday weekend I will try to fill in the gaps by tabulating metro fiber maps in the remaining major internet hubs before meandering off the beaten path. Hence, I will take a look at the Dallas/Ft.Worth market or perhaps all of Texas – depending on what is convenient, as well as the Washington DC Metro area. Lots more to go after that even when taken in large chunks, which will tentatively be New England, the Rust Belt, Upper Midwest, Lower Midwest, Pennsylvania, Upstate New York, Virginia and the Carolinas, Appalachia, Gulf Coast, and the Rockies. I’ve probably missed some spots there, but don’t worry they’ll make it eventually.
